Banff Wedding Videographer

Glassfilm is a Calgary-based wedding film studio, about 90 minutes down the highway from Banff. Cinematic wedding films are what we do best, and the mountains are some of our favourite places to work: ballrooms at the Fairmont Banff Springs, sunrise vows on a lakeshore, and small elopements where the only guests are the two of you and the Rockies.

Our films are story-driven. We stay out of the way, catch the moments you will want to relive, and let the scenery do what it does best.

Not sure how your spot will look on film? Send it to us and we will tell you how it films at different times of day.

How we film a mountain wedding

Planned around the light. Summer sunsets in Banff come late, so we help you build a timeline that puts portraits in the best light without rushing dinner.

Ready for mountain weather. Conditions change fast in the Rockies. We plan covered backup spots with you so a passing storm never costs you the film.

Photos too, if you want them. Wedding films are our specialty, and we also offer wedding photography, including film photography, so your photos and your film share the same look.

Banff wedding videography FAQ

Do you travel from Calgary to Banff?

Yes. Banff is about 90 minutes from our Calgary base, and we film across Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Canmore and Kananaskis.

What do we receive?

A cinematic highlight film, a full edit of your ceremony, and an edit of your speeches.

Do we need a permit to get married in Banff National Park?

Outdoor ceremonies in the park generally need a Parks Canada permit, and popular summer dates go early. Hotels and private venues look after their own grounds. Check the Parks Canada Banff weddings page for current rules.

Can you film with a drone in Banff?

Drones are not allowed in Banff National Park without special authorization from Parks Canada. If aerial shots matter to you, we can plan them at a location outside the park where flying is allowed.

How far ahead should we book?

Summer weekends in Banff book early, often 12 to 18 months ahead. We take on just ten weddings a year, so reach out as soon as you have a date and venue.

How much does a Banff wedding videographer cost?

Every wedding is different, so we quote each one individually. Tell us your date, venue and plans, and we will send you a quote.
